Yes, I’m late to the party; but no, I don’t give a damn. To all of you decadent weirdos out there- Nyege Nyege (in our editorial opinion, the best damn festival in all of East Africa) is officially going down once again in 2020- (despite misguided fears that assorted heaviness regarding the; shall we say liberal attitude towards assorted vices that takes place within it; would nip the party in the bud in 2020).

The dates have finally been announced and this is surely not one to be missed- although the formal music line up is yet to be released- if the past four years have been any indication- it will shape up to be no less than the creme de la creme of the region; and will show case their talent in ways other East African festivals often don’t…

I digress- Nyege is officially happening from September 3rd-6th of this year at the Nile Discovery Resort grounds in Jinja.

This is a way to bring in the decade of the 2020s properly; and seeing as how global warming and all, we might as well all go all out, yes?

For those of you coming up from Kenya- we’ll keep you posted about the party buses that’ll be taking off from Nairobi (be patient though it’ll be a few months on that front).

For the rest of you- we shall see you over a lot of drinks, and then promptly forget.
